About Canadian Whisky Week

Canadian Whisky Week is an annual celebration held during the third week of January, dedicated to honouring Canada’s iconic spirit. This special week invites whisky enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike to savour a dram and celebrate the rich heritage of Canadian whisky.

Whether you prefer it neat, on the rocks, or in a creative cocktail, Canadian Whisky Week is about enjoying whisky your way and embracing its fun, inclusive spirit. While highlighting Canada’s iconic spirit, it’s a celebration for all whisky fans, no matter where you’re from.

How You Can Participate Around the World

This celebration is open to anyone around the world with the goal of putting a spotlight on the wonderful world of Canadian Whiskies. In order to participate in the celebrations anytime throughout the week you can:

  • Post a photo/reel of any Canadian Whisky or round-up of multiple with commentary or tasting notes

  • Post a cocktail recipe (it can be a classic or a signature serve) featuring a Canadian Whisky

  • Post / recommend any resources (like books, magazine articles, podcast episodes, youtube videos etc.)

  • Post educational content around the history, different categories etc.

Essentially share your Canadian spirit and use the hashtags #mycanadianpour and #canadianwhiskyweek
